The Marine Discovery Centre Bondi Beach is a non-profit environmental organisation with a mission to change the way we look, feel and act towards our precious marine & coastal environment – achieving conservation through entertainment, education and collaboration.
The Underwater Bondi Experience is located in the Marine Discovery Centre at the Bondi Pavilion, overlooking the middle of Bondi Beach. The Underwater Bondi Experience was built to enable visitors to more easily experience the beauty of the marine environment on our doorstep, highlight the issues it’s facing and help people carry out the actions needed to protect it.
Experience the Virtual Reality Dive Transporter Show and then relax in the mini-cinema to discover that Sydney has the most amazing marine life of any major city in the world – a must-see addition to a day out at beautiful Bondi Beach! A world-first combination of real fish in aquaria and audio-visual experiences that takes visitors on a 2,000 dive tour of the amazing marine life in Bondi Bay – all in 30 minutes and without getting wet!
Underwater Bondi Experience – Opening Times
- Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4.30pm (except December 25th, 26th, 31st and January 1st).
- Last entry is at 4:30pm.
The Underwater Bondi Experience is also available for group bookings, school excursions and other groups during the week by arrangement.
Underwater Bondi Experience – Admission Prices
- $10 for adults $5 for children (3-15yrs)
- $7.50 for concessions
- $17.50 for Family A (1 adult, 2 children)
- $22.50 for Family B (2 adults, 1 child)
- Each subsequent child is $2.50, children under 3 are free

How to Get There
Catch the 333 Express buses from the City or Bondi Junction. Get off at Roscoe St Mall, outside the Between the Flags shop. Cross Campbell Parade at the pedestrian lights and walk diagonally down to the Bondi Pavilion (directly behind the ‘Bondi Rescue’ Lifeguard Tower). Alternatively park in the beach parking car park.
